So, before every shoot I gather information from you via a questionnaire, plus we can chat on the phone or via Zoom, to make sure my style aligns with your vision.

Studio Sessions
IDEAL FOR SMALLER FAMILIES
A perfect option for smaller families, or those parents who just want photos of their kids, the studio family session is ideal to capture these moments.
Come to my purpose built studio in Ipswich whatever the weather, and enjoy a professional photo shoot in the comfort of a controlled environment (temp/lighting etc).
Well behaved dogs are also welcome, but please let me know in advance.
PREFER THE GREAT OUTDOORS?
The seasons give us a fantastic opportunity to include a splash of colour in your family portraits. Think red poppies, purple lavender, bluey-purple bluebells etc. These seasonal flowers make a lovely feature to your portraits and add the unspoken element of the time of year the photos were taken.
Autumn also brings an amazing variety of colours of foliage – it’s my favourite season, and I adore taking family photos of children playing in the leaves and chatting excitedly with me about festivities coming up!
Outdoor sessions are also best for children who, to put it in the kindest possible way, are a bit feral (like my daughter!) Children who like to run and jump and won’t stop moving. They don’t want to sit and smile at the camera (not that I try and make anyone smile as I love natural expressions), and would rather take a walk in the countryside and explore with me tagging along.

We’ve had a number of photo shoots with the wonderful Carly. She’s absolutely perfect for family and baby photography. She knows just how to get finicky little ones to stay still for a second to get a perfect shot. She also captures amazing real time photos that we now treasure as we prefer ‘in the moment’ photos as opposed to static posed ones we’ve had before from other photographers. The pricing for her work is also extremely reasonable considering all she puts in to it. We now plan on returning yearly to Carly for our family shoots. 100% recommend her to anyone for family, solo and any photoshoots!

Full Family Experience (1-2 hours)
The Full Family Experience means that you can choose to have your photo shoot at the Studio or Outdoors at an agreed location.
Time given for the session means there is opportunity for enough images to give you a lovely varied gallery.
I like to capture families as naturally as possible, so even in the studio I won’t be asking you to ‘say cheese’. I might say a few things to make you laugh though, as I can be a bit silly!
The Full Experience includes a Viewing Appointment, so you can choose your images yourself from the comfort of your home.
Packages start from £295.
Mini Family Session (45 minutes)
Ideal for those of you looking for photos of your older baby (perhaps you missed the newborn stage?), your pet or just a few family photos to refresh your walls.
The Mini Session is an All Inclusive package, which does include an online Viewing Session, and includes 5 digital images to choose from with the opportunity to purchase more if you wish,
The price for this package is £195, and is payable on booking.

- Pre-session consultation, so we can chat before your session to make sure we are a good fit
- 1-2 hour photo session, which gives us plenty of time for a variety of poses and if kids are involved then it also means they can get to know me for a bit first! i.e. ask me a million questions!

- Involve all the family, outdoor/on location photo shoots can be for as big a family group as you want/need. The only restriction on size is for studio sessions as it’s a small space.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I book?
I take family photos all year round. I offer both studio, for a more traditional portrait, or outdoor, for a more relaxed session.
My studio is quite small, so larger family groups are encouraged to have an outdoor photo shoots but I do quite like a challenge, so do message me so we can discuss options!
Where can we go for an outdoor photo shoot?
I’m happy to meet you at a park or local beach anywhere in the Ipswich area, or beyond. For further afield, there will be an additional charge for fuel.
I can suggest various spots if you are struggling to decide.
Do you supply outfits?
No, for family photos shoots you will need to supply your own outfits.
